2010 -  Smilow Cancer Center, Yale-New Haven purchases three of Leona’s still life

             paintings for their “evidence-based” Art Collection.  This is the third largest

             collection of original art in the state of Connecticut.

May 2008 - Two of Leona’s paintings are accepted into the Annual Connecticut Women Artists Exhibition in New Haven, CT.

January 2011 -  Leona planned and produced Amy Oestreicher’s first solo art                   

                           exhibition at The Westport Woman’s Club.  Amy uses art as a

                           creaative means of coping with her serious ongoing medical

March 2011 - Leona’s portrait, Sasha, is accepted to New Haven Paint & Clay’s 110th

                        Anual Juried Exhibition at John Slade Ely House Center for  

                        Contemporary Art.

On the basis of her charcoal diptych drawing, “Three Peppers,” Leona is awarded a solo exhibition at John Slade Ely House in New Haven, CT to take place in September 2012, New Haven Paint & Clay Club.

September 2011 -

Leona’s painting, “Quimper & Apples” is awarded First Prize in  Acrylics in the 17th Annual Mavis Fenner Juried  Exhibition at Rowayton Arts Center, Rowayton, CT.
